Yeah, what I meant was that while I don't think the Hamas Covenant is the dominant view among Palestinians (as I think they're a bit more realistic than that) they can still hate the Israeli state, without wishing for the outright genocide of Israelis/Jews.

The worst possible outcome of such a conflict is higher gas prices or aipac roping the US into yet another dumb war in some ****hole no one in their right mind cares about (except those who live there/with ethnic ties there, of course, but **** those people)....

All those innocent people are being murdered but fuck that, I don't wanna pay a bit more to fill up my car!

I think you can relax. The oil owning Arabs are about as greedy and selfish as human beings can possibly be so they won't get involved with a war that might lower their profit margin.

I don't have a TV or politically charged friends nor did the OP elaborate nor have any of the posts specifically said what is going on, so may I ask wtf is this all about?

A few people getting upset that the Isrealis have bombed civilians which includes children, sure its upsetting but this is a daily ocurrence in some parts of the Middle East.

It didn't actually start out as it's own thread, it was just a discussion on the "Your Day" thread that got off topic.

Yeah I know, I've read the thread. Just pointing stuff out to make my sentence comically long is all.

It has nothing to do with getting upset. My point wasn't about Israel bombing civilians. The original point was the other side of the conflict is part of an oppressed reason. Not just because of terrorism for the sake of it (only part of the population are terrorists) and that they're both in the wrong by both terrorising each other. Instead of pointing at just them and the entire Arab nation.

Anyway I'm going to leave it at that, and humbly agree to disagree. It seems like we're just going in circles by now. :P

I skimmed this thread and it was still a waste of time. I don't know how a thread with such a thoughtful OP went so wrong.

Like all other political threads here, people are outraged at everything, given their intellectual superiority, and when their done showing how smart they are and masturbating to their own talking points, they turn to chortle-ready one-liners about some cultural corner-stone.

I don't care, but I hope you realize that this is how you look. You're welcome, because this is the Current Events version of "you have some spinach in your teeth."

Now get out there and take that broad home.
