In low income areas they actually have a program with a Van that drives around and you can get free condoms. I think it is called project outreach. They also do the oral HIV test.

If all the fat, ugly, poor chicks walking around can't stop the masses from over procreating then I don't think condoms have much of a chance.

Stories like this make me wish that you have to pass tests to be allowed to have children:
Just some heads up, it's a very distressing story. Mom Did WHAT In The Bathtub Until Her 3-Year-Old Drowned?? This Might Not Have Even Been The First Time She Tried To Kill Her Kids! Awful Story HERE! | Perezitos.com |

I know a ton of people from school with kids, couldn't put a number on it but over 30 easily. A lot had them aged 15-20 and a fair few are friends of mine. They never gave it much thought, just ended up with one at a young age cos they didn't use protection. All the people I'd say have their heads screwed on didn't do that and went to uni or are at uni now. Contraception is free so that's no excuse also. |

I think (particularly for men) it's more to do with them just not liking condoms/can't be arsed to use them tbh.

I think it's extremely important to educate people and emphasize the importance of all methods of birth control, especially condoms since they are the only things that protect against STDs. Screw that abstinence only crap that gets taught in many American high schools. It doesn't work - it's reverse psychology, pretty much. Teaching people to be responsible every time they have sex is super important and will cut down on the number of unplanned pregnancies for sure. |
No contraception is 100% protective from pregnancy though, even if you use it near perfectly. Of course there are people who are obviously quite careless and don't use any or minimal protection, but then sometimes you can use the right kind of contraception but still get pregnant. That is the risk you take when you decide to have sex with someone!
As for me in terms of having kids, I don't know if I can conceive children because I have a condition of my ovaries, so it's a difficult topic to comment on. My husband and I are not very vigilant in terms of protection but I've never gotten pregnant so I'm lead to believe that I can't have kids! I would like to have children (love children, my whole career is based around them) but at the same time if there was a chance I couldn't have my own children I would probably be able to see the benefits of a child-free life. In that situation I'd probably like to foster kids who need support/parental figures, or provide a foster home for trouble teens or something. It would be difficult, but rewarding I think, especially if I couldn't have my own children. |
