it seems like you guys agree you just don't know it. hawk is saying that the world would be a better place if the thugs were dead and you're asking him if the thugs rioting are making the world a better place and he's saying no. which i assume you agree with. but if those thugs were dead they wouldn't be ****ing **** up right now which would make the world a better place.

I never said that wasn't the case. I might try to phrase it up differently to clarify who I think the good guys and the bad guys are but taking the semantics out of it, I agree that the riots were inspired by the incident you described. That's obvious so trying to deny that would be stupid.

Now, from my perspective, just because righteousness enrages certain people that doesn't make right wrong. It was right to kill Brown. It was right to exonerate that cop. It's wrong to riot because these two good things happened.

This is something I can never agree with due to my personal belief that if there is anything else that can be done to stop someone from doing something they aren't supposed to do, death should be the last thing, if at all. I don't think killing someone even if they were a thug is the correct move, especially for the cop.

John Wilkes Booth 11-27-2014 12:58 PM

well cops use lethal force if necessary and basically brown wasn't going to go down the easy way.

I suppose. I've just never been a fan of hearing of somebody shooting someone to get them to stop. Unless it's in the leg or something to at least immobilize them. Killing them just seems extreme.

i know that's a normal way to think about it but that's not how cops are trained. if they are using their gun they shoot to kill. everybody should know this by now.

OccultHawk 11-27-2014 01:01 PM

It's best if a man can receive a trial but Brown went for Wilson's gun.

I will admit that just the convenience store footage is enough for me to be glad he's dead but going for that cop's gun is what makes me so comfortable with how the cop handled it.

Yep. One of the most common things you'll hear at a shooting range is never point a gun at someone unless you plan on doing your best to kill them. If you don't want the person dead go for the night stick or the mace.
