I mean yeah but I'm too young to at least not give it a shot. If nothing else it'll be less depressing than living three or four or five more decades with this level of cynicism. I might be able to squeeze a decade out of giving a **** with this and that'll be ten years of feeling at least slightly less ****ty. And at the very least I'm not touching the Democrats. It'll be pretty hard for the Greens to go corporate I imagine. Prai 4 mee.

Unless you're buying it straight from the farmer, organic food is just as corporate as conventionally farmed foods.

From the VA Green Party's site.

Quote:
A. Farming
1. We support organic and biologically sustainable farming and encourage development of farmers' markets, cooperative markets, and education to increase public acceptance of organically and locally produced food.
2. We encourage small-scale family and cooperative farms, polyculture crops, and regional food supplies rather than large-scale, chemically dependent agribusiness.
3. We oppose government incentives that encourage chemical farming over organic farming.
4. We encourage agricultural colleges to include organic and sustainable farming methods in their curriculum.
5. We encourage the expansion of fast-growing, renewable plant sources (e.g. hemp and kenaf) to replace the use of trees and nonrenewable (i.e., petroleum-based) substances for paper, fiber, food, and oil production.
6. We support phasing out factory farming. We oppose inhumane treatment of food animals and the routine use of hormones, antibiotics, and other chemicals associated with factory farming.
7. We support eliminating all government subsidies, including water subsidies, for agribusiness.

I don't think you're gonna be one of those losers who "go Republican after they age out of their youthful principles" but I think your core is more conservative than anything else.

Though I don't think this will bother you either as being lib, con, or independent doesn't seem to matter to you.
Mostly right in that I aggressively ride the **** out of the bootstrap train, but also dishonest because I don't take the same approach with it as someone like Shapiro which is how youre making me sound. I do not hold accountability over people who are not in a position to make better decisions, which I think pushes me to the liberal side on that particular topic. For instance, I don't blame black people growing up in the hood for not going to college and becoming the next Bill Gates. I do blame middle class white kids from the burbs for becoming thieving heroin addicts or wannabe gangbangers though. I blame smokers who get lung cancer. I blame dead adrenaline junkies who mountain climb with no harness. I blame fat people who eat McDonalds and doritos daily. At the same time, I'm pretty open to hearing individual justification and getting to hear the other side of the story before I make a judgement. I'm also not against social support policies.

Youre right that I dont give a fuck about some lame ass political label. I dont like being pinned down. And I don't think you know my core beyond the few poorly written, off the tongue arguments I've expressed on this forum.

I'm not sure when I ever took a position that was illogical. I feel like I'm pretty consistent in my reasoning even when it might make me look bad. Basically, fuck pride/tribalism, fuck religion, and fuck not making better decisions because convenience and short term gratification.

I'm not here to offer solutions. It's an opinion. I never commented on the policy and how those people should be treated, I only blamed them for making bad decisions.

I only have anecdotal evidence to the contrary and every time I ask you to provide evidence for your claims you get butthurt or ignore the request, so we'll just have to agree to disagree on the first part.

Actually it's pretty logical. If you can show me evidence that they lack the capacity to not do heroin after never having major surgery or having a medical problem that got them into pain killers than I'd gladly reconsider my judgment for that individual. Deciding to do pills because they seem fun and then progressing to heroin is your fault.
