Bosses can not at all control everything their employees do.

This comment makes it clear that you've never employed anyone, never owned a business, and aren't close with anyone who has every employed anyone or owned a business (or at least they never talked about that stuff with you if a relative or someone owned a business).If an employee were exhibiting racist behavior, and the employer found out about it, then sure, the employer would at least try to stop that behavior (or probably wind up firing the person).

Why would you think they can completely control any behavior that would be racist, but not be able to completely control other behavior? How would that make any sense? Unless you've only got a couple employees, you can't hover over every single thing employees do. It's just a matter of whether something gets back to you somehow.
