To put it plainly, there is a certain element of white liberal/leftist culture which is elitist and prejudicial, but, because it's considers itself against those things, it makes elitist and prejudicial statements couched within the language of tolerance. So, you hear bizarre contradictory statements on how mexicans or poles are lazy welfare leaches in one breath and how they're stealing blue collar jobs so we have to protect the working class by declares poles and mexicans as seperate from the working class. Sometimes they even say blatantly racist ****, like we gotta ban muslim immigration, because they'll rape our women and they're super spies who are setting up an invisible caliphate shadow government bla bla bla....

What is so ****ing obnoxious about this group is that, when you point out their arguments are illogical and based on bigoted assumptions, they side step the critique, and proceed to pretend as though they're these oh so burdened messiahs, who are burdened with special knowledge, which we PC police are just pretending is bigoted for fun or something.

So, let's break it down into two examples:

Guy A is "old school" bigot. He's white, drives a brodozer 2008 ram 3500 w/ a cummins. It has smoke stacks, fender flares, a six inch lift kits, mud tires and a variety of stickers in the back with clever saying suchs as, "I'D RATHER BEING CUMMIN' THAN STROKIN'" (this is a dig at ford brodozers), "ADAM & EVE, NOT ADAM & STEVE", and "SHOW ME THE BIRTH CERTIFICATE". He lives outside Atlanta.

Guy B is "new school" bigot. He's white and drives a prius, incompetently. It's got stickers on the back affirming his love for radiohead, his support for various environmental things, and those stupid white ovals that show how unimaginative he is. He lives in New York City.

Now, the truth of the matter is, if both said "Muslims are hellbent on destroying Western civilization", and then each proceeded to offer whatever twisted logic suited each one of their geographic/cultural situations the best, would that make guy B less bigoted than guy A? Of course not. However, for a reason known as idiocy, people get tripped on this, because guy B shops at whole foods and guy A shops at wal*mart.

To make this perfectly clear, guy B is Goofle. And just to make it absolutely clear to Goofle, I am no more shocked by some Muslims bigoted rejection of historical pillars of western civilization than I am of his similar bigoted rejection of historic pillars of western civilization. Just because it's Muslims doing it doesn't make it worse than you doing it, Goofle.
There's just too much nonsense in here to even get started on. But you do know muslims aren't "brown"? It's not a race.

And Chula, you really don't need to keep popping up with examples of non-muslim c*nts, we know they also exist.

Not sure I agree with you. Freedom of speech and Religious freedom allows Phelp's insane hate group to picket outside of soldier's funerals, yet the same people standing up for Freedom of speech and Religious freedom want to ban an entire religion from being in the country?

Tons of hypocrisy involved in this debate from a nationwide standpoint, as well as in the corners of this forum.

In England we have seen groups of Muslims protest the homecoming parades of Soldiers, holding up signs such as "Butchers of Basra" and "Soldiers go to hell". I think we would agree that the examples you gave and the example I just gave are bad.

It's not hypocritical to focus more of your attention on the bigger problem - which I would argue is Islam. You can disagree on that if you want, but not everything is of equal good or bad. And the way to deal with it is not to add more bigotry (ban all muslims/baiting the population for votes), but to accept the issues we are facing and try to deal with them rationally.

actually its not just muslims who oppose western militarism/imperialism

jules jammal was a syrian military officer who killed himself in a suicide attack on 29 October 1956 on a french warship

he was an orthodox christian syrian and is considered a hero/freedom fighter among arabs both muslim and non-muslim

so you really shouldn't generlize about muslims that way....

it's more correct to say arabs oppose the west. not just muslims.

To be fair if non threatening white people were as directly affected by a war they have a history of being just as douchey about it.

I'm not sure what you are saying because I think you left out a key word somewhere.

I think I know your point but just want to be sure.

In hindsight this was a pretty douche overreaction by the US.
