The dude was a lone gunman. Not a member of ISIS, but a sympathizer based on his readings of internet sites. Label him an Islamic Terrorist and he becomes a martyr for the cause. Which will inspire more insane loonies to follow in his footsteps.

Downplay his ties and his actions carry a ton less "copycat" weight.

You are wrong^ 100% wrong. This was radical Islam killing Americans on our soil. They miss reported it for 6 hours in Fla. The only news I could get on it Sunday was the Uk daily mirror for hours. This was not a hate crime as much as it was an act of terror and treason. He bought these guns legally to do illegal things and we have known who he was and who is family was since 11 and big mangina clinton told them to back off. I've read on the news just now that not only did he practice homosexuality, he also pledged allegiance to Hezbollah, ISIS, and Al Qaeda...which are all enemies of one another. Sounds like the perp didn't know what he wanted.
