So I happen to spend a fair amount of of time with bisexual women, and they, being part of LGBT scene, have never directly called me cis. But they have used it when talking about me in third person (just as a helpful descriptor, because trans people are actually a part of their community, so it's a useful description) and what they were saying was positive.

But, these are people I know in person. On the internet... well, that's a different story.

Nope, wrong. As the others have said, whether you're cisgender has nothing to do with whom you're attracted to. It's about your gender identity. If you were designated male at birth - as I'm pretty sure you were - and you self-identify as male, then you're cis.

But I never agreed to the word. I just woke up one day and a bunch of random shrews on the internet were calling me "cis". **** being categorized while I'm asleep.

Are you a male? Do you identify as a male? Okay than your cis.. You're cis homie. Learn to gender definition.

Bisexuality is not a gender identity, it's a sexual orientation.

Edit: This got overlooked in all the simultaneous spam so I deleted and I'm reposting.
Edit2: What Josef said.

You aren't.
What I always wondered. Is a trans woman attracted to trans men considered heterosexual? Is a trans woman attracted to cis men considered heterosexual?

Yes, because trans women are women and trans men are men.

(Provided that when you say "trans women" you really mean trans women, i.e. designated male at birth.)

Who cares, that's not how words describing people work anyway. I'm happy for the term. When I'm on online dating sites, I'm looking for cis women, not trans women and dating sites that have that slot to fill out help me narrow down my searches quicker.

That makes sense. What about the second one?

And shouldn't there actually be a trans/cis component to sexual orientation? I'm attracted to cis females, but not trans females.

(sorry Exo, i double posted)
