A transgendered person is someone who's gender identification doesn't align with their biological sex. A drag queen is a performer who dresses up in women's clothing. That's why Carmen Carrera and Kenya Michaels don't reference themselves as drag queens, because a drag queen, by definition, is a man who dresses up like a woman, and they aren't men, they are actual living breathing women. How many sources do I have to show you? It's an umbrella term you found one part of drag that doesn't fit the umbrella and decide to ignore the rest of it that does. Logic.

BTW, this was taken from a thread that was stickied in a transgender forum (with thousands of members), on a fetish/LGBT+ website. I take their word over yours.

Well, ****, if that's the case, I'm not really a Cis male and no rational person should be. My "gender assigned at birth" is whatever preconcieved notions my parents and gym teacher (who implied I was of a third gender once) and my teachers all had about what defines a male. That would vary from subculture to subculture and be and impossible series of hoops to jump through to.

Yeah obviously they are forms of gender expression but what does that to do with being transgendered? Being transgendered is literally "I feel like a woman even though I have a penis." Being trasngender is about dysphoria and feeling that the body you have been given and what you identify as, psychologically are not in alignment. That has nothing to do with drag. Some people use drag as an outlet for that before transitioning, but a drag queen, by definition, is not transgender.

I'm not transgendered because I perform in drag. I identify as male. Performing in drag has nothing to do with my gender. It is an expression and a statement about gender, but so is wearing nail polish, makeup, etc. Wearing dresses and makeup and heels and pads and fake breasts and tucking your penis has literally nothing to do with what you psychologically identify with. Fashion and appearance aesthetics are social constructs that only have the connotations we arbitrarily place upon them. I know very very very few drag queens who identify as anything but male. They just want to be fabulous and express themselves artistically.
