If the shoe was on the other foot and the same thing was happening to my country, I am sure there might be people who would buy from Sweden and the like.

Good for you, Lilja! I would do the same, and in fact you're doing Britain a favor too.

I do see that the vote for the leave seems to have been driven alot by nationalism to the point of isolationism. Perhaps I am wrong in this and those in the UK can better explain why it went the way it did. I do think the latest immigration/refugee taking in figures really drove the vote. Which in the end was still silly as my country and Germany took in a lot more than the UK did. But then that is my point as I rant on my soapbox :)

Yes of course, I'm sure the huge influx of refugees into Europe prompted many people to vote Leave. True as well that Sweden and Germany have been more hospitable.
I don't have statistics to hand, but my feeling is that Britain is smaller and more densely populated than many European countries, which perhaps has led people to think, "We have plenty of people (of all nationalities) living here already. Can our country sustain a huge new influx of people?"
Already there is unprecedented pressure on UK schools, healthcare, transport infrastructure and housing to provide for the present residents. People complain all the time that these services/resources are inadequate for the population, and a wave of new immigration would only make that worse.
