I've been hearing just as much (if not more) from people on the left saying the same thing about Trump.

So you rather take someone that will send the US economy into the tanker while creating all kinds of conflicts around the world than have Hillary? Also what do you think presidents have the power to do actually? You do know she has to go through our congress and if it's a Republican led congress all this war mongering and world policing that you are afraid of won't even happen. Even with a Democratic congress those two things can't happen. Also traditionally, Republicans are more known to be the one that pushes for wars and world policing/getting involved in foreign countries. Democrats usually want to cut back on military spending.

When it comes to Republicans and Democrats during war, it's an even split between both political parties...
American Revolution - George Washington (Non-affiliated)
War of 1812 - James Madison (Democratic-Republican)
Mexican-American War - James K. Polk (Democratic)
US Civil War - Abraham Lincoln (Republican)
Spanish American War - William McKinley (Republican)
World War I - Woodrow Wilson (Democratic)
World War II - Franklin D. Roosevelt (Democratic) and Harry S. Truman (Democratic)
Korean War - Dwight D. Eisenhower (Republican)
Vietnam War - Dwight D. Eisenhower (Republican), John F. Kennedy (Democratic), Lyndon B. Johnson (Democratic), and Richard Nixon (Republican)
Persian Gulf War - George H. W. Bush (Republican)
Second Persian Gulf War - George W. Bush (Republican) and Barack Obama (Democratic)

Also, look at how Trump reacted towards Bill Maher's birther joke. That kind of overreaction is what scares me. I mean, really, the President has the power to wield the military around like a hand gun in a gangster rap video.
You know what else is cliche? The idea that this election is the most important election of our lives and it is not the election to "waste" your vote. I heard that last election, and the election before that, and when Bush was running. At what point do the voters sack up and vote for who they really want? Just wait until four years from now when the insane American voters repeat the same cycle and wonder how politicians get away with being so crooked. The saddest part is that we are completely self aware of our stupid voting habits but we still don't do anything about it. At that point could anybody really pity our country if it falls on hard times as a repercussion?
Completely ****ed up when I'm constantly being told about the importance of voting but voting for anybody who isn't who they want is a wasted vote. Nah, you're just a dumb contradiction.

I've been hearing that line uttered in every Presidential election since I started paying attention to politics back in 1976 and I'm sure it was being repeated each election cycle long before that.
