What? Is wiki leaks not a reliable source?

Lucem, you're right, it's silly to talk about what I would or wouldn't do IRL. Glad you brought it up. Maybe you should write an instrumental about it. I recommend a piano paired with a clarinet. With ambient sounds of you hanging from your shower curtain you ****ing failure.

this was an email on how to get accurate polling data

you have to oversample certain groups

I can explain it to you if you want

The problem with wikileaks is that it offers no context so very little of it is of any real use people will see what they want in them

Why do you have to over sample certain groups? Are you talking about getting good stats or doing it as a political move? I get what you mean if it's the latter.

You use it when you intend to use the data to figure how individual groups voted

let's say you conduct a poll of 1000 Americans, that is a large enough sample size to produce a small margin of error, but mathematically you may only end up with 100 Hispanics for instance not a large enough sample size to get a reasonable margin of error for that specific group

So if they plan to use the data that way they will oversample smaller groups like Hispanics so they get a reasonable amount and then weight them back down when they use the data for other purposes

Republicans have been pretty violent as well. If she was to take over they would just ramp it up and the licensed gun owners will be all over the place.

I was under the impression that oversampling was when you disproportionately sample from one group without it being necessary for the data. What that link describes just sounds like stratified sampling to me.

I think it's a great example of how Wikileaks will say whatever you wanted it to say
