I wonder if he'd still be extolling the glories of the electoral college if faithless electors were to cost Trump the election in a couple weeks. Incredibly unlikely, I know, but it is something that's possible in the system he's defending.

Completely agree.

The electoral college is affirmative action that rednecks can get behind.

Every election would be decided by Cali and NY basically but that's how it should be, at least for the presidency, because THATS WHERE EVERYONE LIVES

So rural voters shouldn't decide elections, but urban dwellers should?

.

Edit: I one time got lectured about how I don't appreciate farmers and I should starve to death for thinking that rural people shouldn't be able to decide the fate of the whole country.

Sodom shouldn't get a vote.

Can we be completely honest here? Trump won because a huge swath of rural voters completely bought into his snake oil pitch.

Wonder bread white folks who love Jesus and guns, think abortion is the devil's work, stereotype Muslims, fear the imminent takeover of the US by immigrants and minorities, and bought into the TRUMP vs the press, the liberals, the celebrities, the establishments, the status quo, the Clintons, etc. etc. etc.

Be careful what you wish for............

His cabinet picks so far confirm two things.

1. He's providing a platform for the extreme alt-right agenda.
2. He's not draining the swamp of establishment politicians.

I love Jesus and think abortion is the devil's work (well, maybe just humans; the devil gets too much credit sometimes). And I wouldn't have voted for Trump.
