I once heard him tell a long, rambling story about how he was out on a boat in a storm but managed to get back to port, and the only reason I can think of why he would tell the story in the first place is that he wanted everyone to know what a great boater he is.

Hey they're your words, not mine.

Well not just for entertainment purposes. They have a lot of validity on some key topics, just as Noam Chomsky and Naomi Klein do, but it doesn't mean I have to like any of them, I just keep an open mind.

Basically I like to hear from opinions and ideas from all over the political spectrum, I don't like the narrow left wing or right wing tunnel vision a lot of people go into.

Michael Savage is f'n raw, I swear he exists on coffee and pure hatred alone. He is one creepy and disturbing individual...but he is a highly entertaining to listen to.

I have seen this guy on the internet before...I will just say he's not my cup of tea, and is often misinformed on economics...but he does bring up some valid points here.

The statistics for single family raised children are brutal, the break down of the family has especially hit Black Americans harder than any other group.

There is also some credence to some of the worst urban blight in the United States existing in states where they have been dominated by Democrats for decades. Michigan and Illinois are classic examples, and of course New York before Rudy Giuliani turned things around, but a lot of the urban blight is in republican dominated states as well, particularly the south where there was a history of institutionalized racism.

Right now Trump is targeting Black American voters because he's getting his clock cleaned in Virginia and losing in North Carolina (traditional red states) He will also need their support if he want any chance of making headway into Michigan.

I honestly believe in Trump's mind he wants to help Black Americans, he has a panel of black advisors like Ben Carson, but he really needs to go into those neighborhoods and risk the protests if he wants their votes.

Honestly though, this is the worst presidential campaign I've seen anyone run. His campaign is a mess, he mind as well just gift rap the Presidency for Hillary.

As the son of a single parent I'm not gonna **** on single parents, as the burden of being the one who's responsible for a life can lead to that person really rising to the occasion, but the idea that one good, dedicated, loving parent is as good as TWO good, dedicated, loving parents is obviously dumb. If my dad weren't a piece of **** then clearly I would have been better off if he'd stayed.

Of course, if I could have been born into a polygamous family of non-mormons who were into that **** because of personal rather than religious beliefs, people who were totally into the relationship and who treated all the kids produced by the relationship as if they were their own, then **** yeah I might be even better off with five or ten parents.

Well I am with you there Batlord in that I was in the same boat, but the statistics for success rates among children raised by single parents is brutal. From everything, to high school graduation rates, income, crime rates, early pregnancy, they' re are all badly in the negatives.

Whether this has to do with a lack of male guidance & discipline, or males raised by single moms not having the patriarchal values installed to be successful in a competitive society, or the general low income of single moms...I don't know???

All I know is that people who came from good two parent families should thank their lucky stars. I came out okay in the end, but I would most likely be way father ahead in life, had I had a positive father figure around from the start.

Don't forget that people who have a parent that is to some extent absent are likely to develop self-esteem issues (I know I did). When you're a kid with a parent who just bailed you can't help but irrationally wonder if it's you that drove that father/mother away. That's powerful **** that will likely stick with you your entire life no matter how good you turn out.

Freudian slip?
