No.

Why do you hate the term working class?

I don't have much time to explain, but essentially I dislike the way in which that phrase is generally used to describe people who aren't necessarily well off, but work hard for what they get. The implication being that rich people don't work just as hard - probably harder - for their money.

Unless you're using it to describe every single person who works, then it's not really useful for anything other than division between the rich and poor.

I'm not a fan of the connotations that the term has in modern society, not the term itself.

When the term is used, it's mainly used to describe the middle class and lower class.

I feel like it excludes the working poor. I don't think it has anything to do with people working hard for what they get/earn. It isn't used as an insult/bad thing like you seem to be thinking it is.

I don't know when it switched but people used to just say middle class instead of working class. I guess because over the past decade or so the middle class has been shrinking so much to the point that it doesn't exist all that much anymore. Maybe that's why they started to use working class instead.

I don't think it's an insult by intention, but it's kind of insulting to a multi-millionaire CEO who has worked his ass off blood sweat and tears to not be included within the same bracket as somebody like myself who basically comes in, runs around like a dog and then goes home.

Lol that's only insulting if the CEO is also a classist crybaby.

Insults don't have to be taken to heart in order for them to exist.

Being insulted does not mean that an insult exists in the first place, either.

That's true. Many examples of this in other threads.

How is it insulting to a multi-millionaire CEO. Nobody cares about the struggles of a multi-millionaire dollar CEO that isn't even in that class bracket anymore and just dodges taxes as much as they can through loophooles. **** that CEO, he made it. Yes, he may or may not have worked his ass off hard for it but so the **** what? he's at the top now being greedy as **** and spitting on everyone that helped him to get where he is. He's taking in a paycheck that is 35 times when his low level employee makes and he thinks that's okay. Your employees shouldn't be struggling so hard to the point where they have to sign up for government assistance just to get by. *coughs Walmart coughs*

Didn't know you were a rich guy sympathizer but it makes sense and falls in line with other ideologies that you believe in.
