He was of Mexican descent though, correct? I believe I read his parents were Mexican immigrants.

In that it violates the law. However, people view the law as being aligned with ethics and that illegal things are by nature unethical. These people aren't doing anything unethical. Calling them criminals only capitalizes on that association, so I think that using that term is egregious.

Yes, he's of Mexican descent. That's the issue with Trump's comments about him. He's a guy born and raised in the US but Trump was equating him with illegal immigrants from Mexico based on his ancestry.

In May, Trump implied that Gonzalo Curiel, the federal judge presiding over a class action against the for-profit Trump University, could not fairly hear the case because of his Mexican heritage.

“He’s a Mexican,” Trump told CNN of Curiel. “We’re building a wall between here and Mexico. The answer is, he is giving us very unfair rulings — rulings that people can’t even believe.”

I believe Trump is stating the judge would be biased because of his Mexican heritage. Not saying the guy isn't an idiot, I just don't think it's racist.

Racist may not be the right word since Mexican isn't a race, but it's certainly a bigoted comment.

GTFO with your trolling. He was being lazy in asking for links to an argument that has been plain as day since the beginning of Trump's election. He could have done the same thing and googled just like I did and got better examples. I matched his effort to the argument.

Pretty much exactly how I went about it, though I seem to get more criticism for it for whatever reason.

I like how the concept of using reliable sources is so baffling and seemingly troll-y to you guys.

Learn to read. He was asking for links to see if any of you would provide actual evidence that wasn't bull**** clickbait, cause Frownland wasn't interested in Trump's racism, he was interested if certain posters in this thread could back up their arguments with anything logical and concrete.

And what did Ki give him? Bull**** clickbait.

Using reliable sources for an argument that is substantial sure but asking for sources to a question that's so plainly obvious and having to do extra research for someone that doesn't care enough or pay attention enough to see what has been going on for months is a difference.
