Nah. Most people vote for the alternative to the 2 major parties not based on stances, but instead out of protest against the right and the left. Deep down they realize that their vote isn't going to elect a president. But they can feel like they bucked the system regardless.

I would agree with this, but this election Johnson really got his message out there and gained supporters.

If Jill Stein had Johnson's numbers, I'd say that it's very likely that third parties handed the vote to Trump. However, Johnson's ideals align far more with Trump's than with Clinton's. Whatever votes he did steal from Clinton were not in great enough numbers to even be significant.

Clinton lost Florida by 120K votes. Johnson and Stein got a combined 260K votes.

This was the best thing to come out of Gary Johnson's run.

And Johnson's portion of that dwarfs Stein's.

I know being sanctimonious is fun and trendy today but you should attempt considering facts.

OMG not at all looking forward to Thanksgiving with my right wing family. Either I'm gonna have to bite my tongue till it falls right out of my mouth or tell them that I hope their section of the country gets hunted down by ISIS.

My grandma is patting herself on the back for voting Trump, citing a silent majority. Nah guys, you were loud as **** (also your California red vote didn't count for ****).

I think I might get my grandfather a boxset of the first season of The Apprentice for Christmas. Then maybe the reality of what he's just done will sink in.
