And the very use of "bogeymonster" in reference to what are the oppressors is exactly blaming the oppressed for their oppression

Anyone have a gif for cherrypicking?

Youre really good at misrepresenting my usage of the word health.

Growing apathy during the latter part of the Bush administration through the eight years of Obama (AKA Wall-Street's golden boy) administration is a major factor to why we have Trump today, and his ongoing failures are only going to build on that apathy in 2020. If the Dems won't step up with a serious candidate and a real plan of action, maybe the Libertarians will.

I remember reading not long ago that three electoral votes from 2016 actually went to Colin Powell as opposed to Clinton or Trump. Who would take him as POTUS in 2020 at this point? :p:

I don't pay rent anymore but I pay for all of my student loans (~1k/mo), food, clothes, and phone service. Rent prices here are insane so I live with my parents. I don't think I know any college grads my age who aren't married that's paying rent down here on their own. If I didn't have those goddamned student loans or if I could relocate to a cheaper area while maintaining a secure job, it might be feasible but nah. I'm lucky af to be working in the field I studied and that I have supportive parents though. Thanks for the reminder Chula, I guess it ain't too bad.

I know rent is crazy high there but it's a pretty big difference when you have no support at all. If I don't pay rent my **** is on the street getting rained on and I'm looking for the homeless shelter. I doubt Chula has anyone either. When **** goes tits up and your life is literally on the line and there's nobody but yourself it's different.

Chula seems like the kind of guy who would have a lot of friends and family getting his back when he really needs it, but I hear ya.

Now, what exactly does that have to do with eating healthy, exercising, and seeing a therapist to help with your cholesterol, blood pressure, and depression (in reference to the start of our interaction)? Because I'm honestly pretty sure that more struggles would make me more of a douchebag.

Nice assumption. But no. There's no fat cats who will help me pay my mortgage so that I don't lose my home - which is becomming more of a reality with each passing week.

Impossible to imagine.

I imagine that in the next election, people are legitimately going to be so fed up with the process that they won't even bother voting. That's at least where I would be if that were the case. However I know that's a double edged sword because if you don't vote, you're basically voting for the person that doesn't deserve it. The election process does need a rework, but in the way that it's good for everybody. I don't see that ever happening but if the turnout for voting starts to become less and less, this country is going to have to start really thinking about how seriously they take the election process. I hope I'm making sense here.

Yes there is increased hate against Trump but that doesn't automatically translate to increased voter turnout.

People tend to do more talking and posturing than they do with follow through. So voter turnout will continue to be low regardless. If the Dems find a huge rockstar progressive policitian to back maybe things will be different but just another establishment Dem won't cut it.
