In Pakistan’s eastern city of Lahore, an estimated 10,000 followers of the radical Islamic Tehreek-e-Labbaik party celebrating the Mawlid, the birthday of the Prophet Muhammad, took to the streets. They chanted anti-France slogans, raised banners and clogged major roads en route to a Sufi shrine.

“There’s only one punishment for blasphemy,” bellowed Khadim Hussain Rizvi, a fiery cleric leading the march.

“Beheading! Beheading!” the protesters yelled back.

Innocent French people are murdered by terrorists and Muslims around the world are still obsessed with ****ing cartoons.

Speaking of Islam in Europe, let's use this thread to be a little less hateful and to educate the masses (of North Americans) about the long and rich history of Islam in Europe, which started about 1300 years ago!

Check out the amazing Alhambra, a 13th century palace complex built during the Emirate of Granada:

Did you know that Muslims ruled over Spain for 8 centuries? This means that some parts of Spain were ruled by Muslim rules longer than they have been by Christian ones! Curious!
Fun fact, it's estimated that a few thousand Spanish words are of Arabic origin.
