Yeah. Maybe they made the first sundial as well. I'm thinking what have you done for me lately?

I think architectural advancements are pretty cool tbh.

OccultHawk 06-05-2017 02:59 PM

Besides South Sudan what Christian country in North Africa are you talking about?

But more importantly it's not "Muslims"

Why would you read it that way

Uh, because it was the question? I am fully aware that Iraq is the cradle of civilisation, and that Islam was more advanced than us originally, but I'm asking what have the Islamic or Muslim countries contributed to the advancement of society recently?

Iraq isn't the cradle of civilization.

Also the article is about the origin of humans not the origin of civilization.

Wherever humans were earliest is going to be considered the origin point of civilization. The idea of the Fertile Crescent and those civilizations being the bedrock only works if you can prove humans were establishing themselves there first and not in some other part of the world.

No, the word civilization is used to describe complex urban societies. That's why the cities of the Fertile Crescent are considered the cradle of civilization rather than the birthplace of humanity.

I find "advancement of society" a little vague. What advancements do you necessarily mean and what does that exactly prove?
