Poor SOB in the southwest hitting 48.8 C. Crazy. Grounding airplanes because it is too hot.

I lived in Phoenix when it got up to 124 once. We went to a baseball game that night and had to frantically leave the parking garage since it locked in the heat and had gotten up to 156 in there according to my uncle's car thermometer. I remember it physically hurting like heat never did before as a kid. You don't want to experience it.

Not a whole day obviously. Just an hour or so with a cold drink..

Hottest I've experienced is probably mid 30s which isn't that hot.
