Settle in for 4 more years amigxs, I'd put all my money on it.

I agree they’re not going to impeach but I think the Dems have a 50/50 shot on Election Day. Nobody knows but I think Biden and Beto are the most likely to lose to Trump. I’m liking Gay Pete. Fact: Americans are crazy about ass.

I hope Yang gets the nomination just to see if Trump tries to imply that he's a Manchurian candidate.

Presenting, the rare Ori wall of vaguely serious political ranting that probably nobody will read.

Every time I see an otherwise intelligent person start spouting crap about "the libtards" or "the conservative fascists", it seriously depresses the **** out of me. It's like the most darkly comical thing ever, that people can so easily be tricked into legitimately identifying with a group that actively rapes them on the daily.

The working class do 99% of the work in society, and yet see just a tiny shred of the revenue. The rich create bubbles in the economy by rabidly chasing trends for short term profits, and then get bailed out when the bubbles inevitably explode, leaving the average person to get ****ed in the ensuing recession while they give themselves bonuses. The rich don't take risks. They get rewarded for failing.

They steal from everyone every day. They kill people by setting up fake medical studies for tax havens and embezzlement funnels, or just good ole political weapons, getting people to avoid vaccinating their children, or coercing sick people into taking sawdust pills that "might" work. They drive up the price of real estate, making it so that you have to take out loans just to have your own place, unless you're lucky enough to find a good job near where you already are.

This isn't even Merit conspiracy stuff. It's the kind of plain old common sense stuff that everybody with a brain notices. And yet we all just sort of shrug and do nothing about it. Either that, or we just give on trying to tackle such a huge problem, and focus on looking down on people opposite from us on the political spectrum, because it's an easy way of feeling validated and useful. Like, I may be a jerk, but at least I'm not one of those guys, right?

But seriously. **** that ****.

This should be issue number one in the country. And it's not even that difficult to begin to address, if more people would get angry and sharpen guillotines, and force the upper caste into paying attention. To get people to stop getting tricked into worrying about terrorists, or too many brown people getting into the country and setting up the "wrong" kind of neighborhoods, or whatever other bull**** weekly buzzword crap is being pushed out. Then we might finally get a nice modern day magna carta, something to put people back on equal ground, which is the whole point of America.

Cap the amount of wealth that someone can have. Put the excess back into the system. That alone would pay for every college tuition and feed every hungry child in the nation. And the amount left over would still be more than the middle class could every conceivably be taxed for. Plus, the wealthy could still keep a huge chunk of their profits. They would still be billionaires. They just wouldn't be trillionaires, which nobody should be anyway.

America doesn't need to be an uber communist/socialist ****fest to make this work. Capitalism just needs some rules. Because capitalism only works when people are competing. And we're well beyond the point where the rich have to compete to stay wealthy. Just look at the internet service providers in the US. They very openly have an oligopoly, and refuse to compete with each other. And yet nobody calls them out, because it technically isn't a monopoly. That **** has to stop.

And if people try to pull that creepy Activision **** that just came to light, sheltering so much of their money overseas that the executives actually get rebated for the $0 they gave in taxes (essentially getting paid millions for screwing the system), they get arrested. And they get to spend... I don't know. How much time does a kid with a bag of crack have to spend in prison if he gets caught? However much time that is, triple it. Because the corrupt elite have done more to hurt people and **** over the world than crack ever did.

They'll probably run away, find loopholes, try to take their businesses overseas. But I don't even give a ****. This **** has to stop, and if it takes an awkward as **** period of craziness to at least get the ball rolling, so be it. But if it does finally start, other nations will follow. And eventually, the scumbags won't be able to deal with any major nation without agreeing to actually be ****ing ethical about it.

Cant even get 40 morons to not stand in the fire in a mmorpg and you want the middle class to put pressure on the rich? I'm just going to keep following the ideologies I agree with on an individual level aka veganism, voting with my dollar, etc, and hope I inspire a couple people along the way cause I dont have enough faith in humanity to view your wall of text as a viable mechanism for change.

What you are talking about is basically the Nordic model of social democracy that you see in countries like Denmark. Capitalism and the free market are still present, just a lot more regulated in key areas so that you don't get corporatism.

Not a perfect system (and the taxes can be egregious to the middle class under certain circumstances), but still most likely the "best" system in regards to maximizing happiness, wealth and stability for all citizens at all income levels. Yang and Sanders want to move the U.S. in that direction....though IMO Yang has a better grasp on the processes that would need to be implemented to actually bring those changes about.
