How would you feel about market socialism?
Better than what we have now but ultimately environmentally unsustainable.

If the restaurant I work(ed???) at was owned cooperatively that would be huge for the workers but would that solve the problems of insane amounts of plastic, over fishing, the transportation of products, and just the inherently discriminatory nature in a system that forbids a person without money to eat there - the ultimate and by far the most effective and soul and body destroying form of segregation and discrimination the world has ever known- deprivation due to an inability to pay.

Or is it necessary to abolish the commodity form entirely
If that means abolishing money completely then yes. That’s the only future where there is a future.

I mean you keep saying things like "is this a dictatorship yet" and posting **** about Pinochet
So either you care or you pretend to care whether it's a dictatorship.

What I don’t care about is your obsession with the historical specificity of language.

So wait, communist dictatorships killed 100 million mostly poor people and capitalism is the greatest evil the world has ever known?

I don't think he's asking you about the historical specificity of language, he's asking what you believe a dictatorship to be and whether or not the election of Biden would change that.

If people can't agree on definitions of terms, or at least understand the definitions that others are using, then communication and debate about this sort of stuff (or anything really) is useless.

e.g.

A: I'd like a baker's dozen please.
B: Uh, okay, how many is that to you, 13?
A: Who cares what my definition is?
B: Well, I do - it might help us communicate here.
A: Why are you so obsessed with the historical specificity of language?

Are you proposing a return to a barter economy? I don't think that's really going to help increase the standard of living for poor people. And I don't think that's going to make international trade very easy either.

Cambodians make the best donuts.

No. I’m proposing there should be no economy at all. Like every other living organisms on earth live.

If you learned that our economies support and maintain advanced agriculture that feeds billions of people around the world, would that change your mind about getting rid of economies?

You're just using the word wrong and are unwilling to admit it. That's why you can't answer the simplest possible question - because the way you are using it is simply incoherent. You probably only latch onto it in the first place because it sounds vaguely ominous.

No. Agriculture is evil.
