There’s this fantasy that the Democratic base has undergone some grand leftward shift. It’s just not true. People look at “The Squad” or the Sanders movement or political Twitter and they think that’s the party. It’s not. You know who the party is? It’s the people who just voted on Tuesday.

But I guess that’s the establishment, huh? If we don’t have a word for someone now, we call them “the establishment.” The notion that there was some revolution of young and working-class voters ready to transform the country was nonsense. The evidence just doesn’t bear that out. These voters didn’t turn out the way the Sanders people said they would. Sanders won lots of young voters, but they didn’t turn out any better than they did in 2016. And Biden won all over the place with our key constituencies.

That’s the deal. That’s the reality, okay? It’s done. The Sanders campaign started with a false premise and it ends where all things that start with a false premise end.

I think he means win against Trump, not Sanders.

I think most people who are voting for Biden are under the assumption he has a better chance of beating Trump. I believe he'll fold under pressure. Like I said the one on one debates going forward will be an interesting way to gauge how strong a candidate he will actually be in the general.

At least the debates will be fun. Two gaffe machines going after eachother like rabid dogs.

Here's how the libs in wine country are talking themselves into voting Biden on facebook -

Let me explain something to you about Joe Biden and why some of the **** that he’s done in his past doesn’t matter. This old rich white man played second fiddle to a black man. Not just any black man, but a younger black man, a smart black man. Not just for a day. Not 1, not 2 but eight years. He took his cues from this black man who had more power than him and was virtually unknown when he took the presidency and Joe Biden had been around forever. He was willing and proud to be his wing man. Not once did he try to undermine him, this black man. Instead Joe walked in lockstep with him, he respected him, he loved and trusted him. He was led by him and he learned from him. And Joe did not have a problem with it. You tell me what 40+ year “establishment” white politician has ever done that. Joe Biden is cut from a different cloth. And black folks understand that and for good reason. He has shown it. This is what showing up and being an ally looks like. When black people say they know Joe, this is how we know.

Is that from a bored housewife who fantasizes about being a Southern belle getting ravaged by slaves?

Joe Biden is building the kind of coalition that I had.

Yeah, we know...

My interests in politics have completely 180'd in the last few months as more and more obvious examples of systematic bullsh*t have grinned their fake ass smile towards me. You want more corporate overthrown greed infused one track horse cockery shills in office? All the parties can f*ck right off and I'll just back into my chair and watch this garbage ruin our country further. I'm not a huge Bernie supporter but it was always clear to me that he was the least fake and actually wanted to make this country a better place to live for all walks of earth and yet time and time again, the masses look that kind of hope right in the eye and turn around saying "nahh, we'll stick with the bullsh*t longer".

I'm at the point where I might vote for Trump because it's clearly what the country wants me to do. The democrats are lying down with their asses exposed begging Trump to take them to town. No balls. No balls to give Bernie a chance to take him down. They want to lay down and get ravaged? Fine, I'll vote for Trump.

The lack of sh*ts I now give is disappointing. I don't care anymore.

I had a bit of an epiphany after smoking some jah goo the other night that it's not the people voting that decide the elections... it's the people *not* voting bruhhhh
