In a new interview, President Trump said that he would take information offered by a foreign government about a political opponent. The statement brought immediate howls of outrage from Democrats. Paula Reid reports.

If a candidate does something ****ty overseas and another candidate gets wind of it through foreign contacts of course they should use it

Other countries absolutely have a right to weigh in on our election

Many foreign heads of state expressed misgivings about Trump during the campaign. That’s their prerogative. In fact, a candidate’s international standing is very important.

And are other countries going to troll social media? **** yes. There’s nothing we can do about it except start censoring the internet.

Anteater 06-13-2019 08:21 AM

What's weirder to me is this public perception by supposedly educated people that foreign powers have "never interfered" in any of our past elections before 2016.

Frownland 06-13-2019 08:48 AM

Foreign governments interfering with democratic elections is unacceptable and cannot be tolerated

I love the whole "Yeah, well they did it too!" argument. Of course that sh*t happened. Don't you want this bullsh*t to stop?

It was just a blanket statement for political bullsh*t.

I just hate bullsh*t. Sometimes sh*tty decisions have to be made that politicians are held responsible for. Military decisions or budget cuts to important functions or whatever. That isn't bullsh*t. The bullsh*t I'm thinking of is the unnecessary drama filled nonsense that puts real people at risk only to benefit one man or a small group of people. Trump dishes out this kind of bullsh*t year round and I'm tired of it.

Lucem Ferre 06-13-2019 11:40 AM

I think most of us are sick of the bull****.

You ever think that the supposedly proper channels for attaining that kind of info were designed to keep that info from getting discovered?

****ing with the other dickheads in Washington was the coolest thing Nixon ever did. It’s funny people point to that instead of murdering a million south east Asians. Then again, Watergate was perpetrated against rich white people so I get where you’re coming from. Naziland.

Lol Trump didn't fire his Special Counsel. Somebody should have encouraged him to seriously do it instead of not if they really wanted that sweet impeachment deal.

Reminds me of a quote from Encyclopedia Dramatica's entry on Tool.

Quote:

For better or worse, Tool's pretentious literary aspirations have not affected any Tool fans, whose literacy rate remains at a steady zero.

Just as the nomination was Hillary's as soon as she announced her candidacy the last time, the nomination was Joe's as soon as he announced he was running this time.

I don't foresee Biden screwing up badly enough to lose it.

OccultHawk 06-15-2019 09:21 AM

My understanding is that one of those homophobic attackers who bloodied up those two attractive lesbians is 18. Many people, myself included, are wondering why his name and picture hasn’t been released. I wonder if the attackers are white.
