I can never tell if you guys get this and you don't care, or if these are genuine statements, but either way, it's almost parliamentary procedure to do this.

In politics, you want to defang your enemies. A bit like the Germans making a pact with Russia to keep them out of the war. You say things like this to ward off an attack so you can use your resources to take on the attacks you can't fight off.

That might make sense for people in politics/the media, but for us bottom feeders it's utterly pointless.

I mean I didn't wish him well. But OH was screaming about "neoliberals" so I thought I'd explain why people running for office would do it.

I felt similar to Joe Biden claiming to be a "Law & Order" president and saying nothing about reform. He can stand up all day for his son when he's persecuted over his cocaine use saying he's proud of him but his son was never at risk of having his life ruined like many others thanks to the war on drugs. Quit bending over backwards to be a "Law & Order" president and start talking about being a reform president.

These are very highly educated people at a nomination ceremony for the Supreme Court and they’re just gathered there like a bunch of drunk college kids at a frat party. Not one of them willing to protect themselves if it doesn’t fall right in line with a power structure they worship, literally worship.
