Don't try to get around the point. We're not talking about these journalists arguing or mentioning it neutrally, we're talking about it being mentioned to imply causality without arguments

There is a causal relationship between Islam and misogyny and homophobia. You don’t have to be Sherlock Holmes to get that’s why I want the names released.

Of course there is, I'm not trying to deny that. The thing is that only a small fraction of muslims are extremists, same for any other religion. So by pointing out that an individual assaulter is a muslim, what are you trying to say? That religious fundamentalism is bad? what else is new. That muslims in general are bad (which is the point often implied by people bringing this up)? That's an unfair generalisation. Or even worse, that immigrants from muslim countries are invading Europe and if we don't kick them out we'll have Sharia law? That's utterly ridiculous
