You should be able to kill your boss without being fired.

Work places have to be made non-hierarchical. No one should have a boss. It literally relegates you to subhuman status.

**** you, I am. This country talks about freedom while spending a third of their life under people who act as dictators. Nobody should have that kind of power over anyone.

What's the other 2/3rds of your life when you're not living under "people who act as dictators"? When you're a child and your teachers and parents tell you what you can and can't do? Or when you're retired and in an old folks home where nurses change your diaper and the government controls your pittance of social security?

You choose to work somewhere, you can choose to leave. The business can choose to hire you, they can also choose to fire you. Americans do talk about freedom, that one is called 'freedom of association'.

I'll be sure to tell my coworkers working two jobs and collecting food stamps to feed their kids how free they are to tell their boss to pound sand and quit.

Nah it's too late for them. They already chose to be poor.

I'm sympathetic to those in tough spots financially, especially when kids are involved - a lot of people don't have it easy, and while I like appeal to emotion fallacies as much as the next guy, what's your argument?

That we increase the social safety net because some people are in a tough spot financially?

That we do away with bosses/CEOs (or reduce their pay) because some people are in a tough spot financially?
