It has something to do with the Gomment using the military against it's own citizens. At least that is what militias believe. The main reason they stock pile guns like they have a snow's chance in hell to stand up against the gomment.

Bro I went back to my old job ...like when I first joined the board. I work in the meat dept now been back a year. I got a new car, new phone, new teeth, and possibly getting a hysterectomy after the hurricane.

@ Dj this hurricane constitutes doomsday its 400 miles wide bro Florida 160 miles wide. This catastrophic. I won't need my gas masks. But my food, water, med bag, I do need. It took 3 hours to find gas in this county after I got paid. I ran out and had to get my neighbours cans and truck to and install gas buddy to find gas within a 50 mile radius.

Anybody heard from Rez? JTF?

Martial law is enacted when there is social upheaval or catastrophic events like Irma. Considering Fema is out of money and there are only so many national gaurd troops. Split between three states right now its actually your job to protect yourself, your property, and your kin if and when help shows up. Ok thats part of the reason people stock pile guns. Not just cause you're a crazy wingnut that hates big government. The real danger is people after you survive a natrual disaster. Looters, etc. Thats why its imperative to learn to defend yourself hand to hand or with weapons.
