What if our human inability to comprehend the idea of there being no starting point is the real problem? What if the universe turns out to just always have been here, with no starting point. Just expanding and contracting infinitely, generating new energy out of nowhere before total heat death happens. I don't know, I just kind of like playing with that thought: That we might be way off because we're too stupid to comprehend infinity with no starting point. Who say's humans would ever even be able to comprehend whatever the truth is?
