I don't complain because I'm fine with having to work. It's satisfying to build something for someone and then be able to drive by later and point it out to your family & friends.

I don't expect to sit around on my a$$ "binge-watching" Lena Dunham's Girls or RuPaul's Drag Race and get a new iPhone every six months on the taxpayer dime like a lot of these pieces of worthless shxt do.

People beholden to an ideology are always ignorant to an extent, they can't comprehend that other people might not see the world in the same way as they do & have numerous presuppositions about why people might dissent.

Unfortunately, none of those presuppositions are ever along the lines of "maybe people don't like it when I go around telling them how to live their lives".

Activists tend to lack the ability to self-criticize. The current left wing ones are a lot like the annoying Christians of the 80s/90s who wanted to ban Mortal Kombat, Magic: the Gathering, and Marilyn Manson. That's why I stopped identifying with them and offering them financial support: I didn't like the authoritarianism when I was a kid in the 90s & I like it even less now that I'm an adult.

But people are free to set up whatever kind of society they want, provided that I am not required to participate.

And you talk about protesters coming into your neighborhood. Do you really think they're ignorant moral fascists? Do you think they aren't addressing real life issues where responding "don't tell me how to live my life" would be nonsensical?
