It’s hard to accept anyone that ****ing stupid could help me though

I forgot to mention I had a panic attack at work today

I was listening to Strawberry Letter 23 and I guess I got hypnotized or something

I wasn’t stoned but it felt like when you’re way too stoned and you’re fighting back a panic attack. My heart didn’t start palpitating but I had to take a Xanax. It’s weird being that terrified for no reason. My hands were shaking and my throat went dry. It lasted about 20 minutes but I only stopped working for about three.

Ftr I drank a king size monster energy drink and two double espressos so that’s probably what triggered me.

After work I drove about 15 miles further down the coast and ate a dozen raw oysters and drank lemonade at this place with an incredible ocean view.

People compartmentalize, dude. They can apply stunning logic to one thing but stunningly stupid logic to something else just to suit their psychology.

Yeah but frankly if you believe that a magic ghost from another universe actually helps people you shouldn’t be providing therapy you should be in therapy.

It was the Brothers Johnsons version which is considerably more hypnotic.

I don't think most people honestly can conceive of the idea and so they don't have to reconcile such a ridiculous concept with their view of reality. Most people who can conceive of an omnipotent deity in a way that must alter their view of the world are probably schizophrenic or something. Most people probably just kinda subconsciously anthropomorphize the world around them due to pattern recognition overload and since there's already this idea about god and **** they were raised with they just go with it.

That’s a good theory about why they’re retarded.

I mean religion evolved for a reason so we're probably the weird ones for thinking about it too much.
