I'm glad to hear everything went ok. I really relate to what you say about eating disorders and addiction. I have very close (but not personal) experience with eating disorders and I noticed that too.

Group therapy sucks. I don't like it. I'm skipping it today. Idk guys. I'm so tired.

Don’t give up. I know this sounds meh but sometimes you really do need to buy in and work the program. Even if your reasons for not liking group therapy are rooted in genuine shortcomings of the process and not just a propensity for disengagement caused by your illness it’s still better for you to take full advantages of the lifelines you have. I know people hate to hear others say I totally get it but I think I got a pretty damn good idea of what you’re going through. It’s hard af but it’s not impossible. I know what you mean by tired. That word frightens me but even exhaustion can and will fade. Things will cycle back up. The more you treat yourself like you’re worth it the better you’ll feel. You’re a great person.

Church to all of the above. And the last two bolded for absolute agreeance.

I've always admired you, WWWP - you are a brilliant, talented, giving person and I'm rooting for you all the way.

Hugs,
Liz

The out patient program I was in was group therapy type deal. Mandatory though. The worst part was half the people were so ****ed they wouldn't say anything.

So the counselors leaned on us who were willing to talk to help fill the 3 hour sessions, every Monday Wednesday and Friday.

Then the shy people would look at us with disdain like we were trying to show them up. Really it was just trying to fill the awkward silence.

Then one guy came in from the Marines who had PTSD and he was very gloomy about it all. A lot of the rest of the group looked at him with disgust as if he were just being a drama queen.
