To me it's pathological, this guy can't stand to be a loser. I believe that even if (or rather when) he loses the legal challenges, he will go to his grave thinking he was robbed. And so will a lot of his supporters (who gobble up any kind of conspiracy theory available).

Do you know what has happened to the American courts over the past four years?

Do you think he honestly beats L Ron Hubbard or Joseph Smith? I mean they might never have been president but Trump will probably just be a historical curio with no lasting influence whereas they have religions to this day.

He’s not planning on leaving, dude. The NewsHour just speculated that both sides are already accepting that it’s going to be decided in the Supreme Court.

Well I'm still holding faith in the American legal system. His appointments may be conservative but they are still legal experts.

Anyhow, it will be interesting to see...:)

That’s astonishing to me. That anyone capable of reading this still believes there’s going to be a peaceful transition is like ... whew ... I don’t know where people get their optimism from. It must be nice.

They didn't even show up for his inauguration. Very doubtful. ;)

Btw, there's a difference between a peaceful transition and his ability to challenge the election (more on which you can read here: Trump's longshot election lawsuits: where do things stand? ).

I’m well aware of the Pollyanna positions that our courts, and especially the Supreme Court, will uphold justice.

15th of December I think.

In other news!

Donald Trump's latest endeavor? Asking his supporters to pay his debts

Quote:

“President Trump needs YOU to step up to make sure we have the resources to protect the integrity of the election!” the wording on both funds says, which is featured in a huge pop-up on Trump’s re-election webpage. It continues: “Please contribute ANY AMOUNT IMMEDIATELY to the Official Election Defense Fund and to increase your impact by 1,000%!”

It is unclear who matches the donations.

But if you scroll down, past the information about the “Left-wing MOB” trying to “undermine our election”, you’ll see some fine print. On Trump’s personal fund, it dictates that of all donations raised, only 50% will go towards a recount effort, and that “50% of each contribution, up to a maximum of $2,800 ($5,000), [will] be designated toward DJTFP’s 2020 general election account for general election debt retirement until such debt is retired”.

On his joint fund with the RNC, the donations work as follows: “60% of each contribution first to Save America, up to $5,000/$5,000, then to DJTP’s recount account, up to a maximum of $2,800/$5,000. [And] 40% of each contribution to the RNC’s operating account, up to a maximum of $35,500/$15,000.”

This essentially means that depending on the size of your donation, a large portion of any donation won’t go to the “recount” bid but will instead go to the Super Pac sponsoring the bid, and the Republican party.

The bottom line: Trump spent a little more money than he had for his re-election – to the tune of $1.6bn – and now he wants help paying for it. It’s sort of cute, like when a wealthy college student asks if you can sponsor their year abroad petting monkeys in Borneo.

I mean I'm dubious that he'll be taken seriously as well, especially since the situation inherently means that he's lost significant legitimacy, but I'm assuming nothing. Let the history books be the ones to smugly declare how pointless his strategy was since they'll have the benefit of hindsight.

Which is part of the reason why when Trump flips electors (which is constitutional btw) and wins his election fraud cases in the Supreme Court it’ll take a thousand times the George Floyd outrage to get him out of office.

When the United States Secretary of State openly tells you there’s not going to be a transition even after losing of the election you got a real problem on your hands.

It’s time to face reality people.

Today’s history books still use the phrase Jacksonian Democracy without irony.

It's just such a prissy bitch move to lose an election and just flat out say "nope" to the process that has taken place since this country was born.

It's pathetic.

Damn you're a boojie ass bitch tbh

It's not "prissy" to try to steal an election.

It's called strategy.

Both want that when it's convenient for them.

The Trump administration has carried out sweeping changes atop the Defense Department's civilian leadership structure, removing several of its most senior officials and replacing them with perceived loyalists to the President.

The flurry of changes, announced by the Department of Defense in a statement roughly 24 hours after President Donald Trump fired Defense Secretary Mark Esper, have put officials inside the Pentagon on edge and fueled a growing sense of alarm among military and civilian officials, who are concerned about what could come next.

Just a little reality check on the non-violent transition crowd, if anyone still really believes that at this point: Trump can fill the military and the pentagon with anyone he wants and fire anyone he wants until Biden is sworn in. And guess what? Biden isn’t going to be sworn in.

More like a preemptive coup. And both sides will claim it’s one. Hall of mirrors.

You already voted for him so you can drop the forced smile now. Your support is now unnecessary for four years.

you said political parties and corporations. You need me to give you examples of either of those being willing to erode our laws and institutions for their benefit?

Biden’s suggested sign language name reportedly resembles that of gang :pimp:

Quote:

The C-shaped sign, one of several being considered to replace B-I-D-E-N, is meant to evoke his signature Ray-Ban aviator sunglasses, the Los Angeles Times reported.

“We BIPOC completely disagree with that [sign],” ASL influencer and TikTok user Nakia Smith signed in a video on Monday, referring to the acronym for black, Indigenous and people of color.

“[The sign] feels so unsafe for us,” she added.
