I’m going to go full non-nuance because I don’t need any here. Calling yourself a catholic at this point is an open endorsement of of pedophilia.

That’s not the point. That’s just to point out how sick they are as human beings.

The point is abortion. They gotta get these babies born or who else are their clergy going to ****. They will do ANYTHING to overturn Roe. The possibility of Dems stacking the court and saving Roe is untenable to those weird perverts. They’re obsessed with it.

And they are 100% a political branch of the evangelical right.

And still that’s just one of Trump’s avenues.

Roe v Wade is a different issue than the election, of course - and yes, esp with Amy Comey Barratt, I can see SCOTUS overturning that decision. Those evangelicals and Catholics really take a hard line on abortion. Completely unjustifiable that they want to impose their morality on all American women, robbing them of their right to choose for themselves. Plus of course, cranking up the population stats with unwanted children - just what the world needs right now.

Not to them. Not when having a pro-life majority could be jeopardized by a Biden administration.

Roe v Wade is absolutely under threat but it's done a **** job in the first place and has put us in a catch-22 where legalizing abortion/illegalizing intentional restriction of abortion access on a federal level would be brought to the supreme court, risking a flip of the script where pro-choice laws are explicitly prohibited.

That's a point I hadn't considered - but for now, it's a bright Sunday morning, so I'm off on my bike for a bit of fresh air and a brief rest from America's anger-inducing troubles.

Yeah but who would eat it?
That fat bitch with her stupid smiling face and her teacher/molester glasses is going to be - is, in fact - directly responsible for the deaths of thousands of Americans. What has she to fear? The Orange Menace will be gone in sixty days. What can he do to her? Let her sign the document, resign and go back to the farm and live in contented happiness with the other fat pigs.

"Scorched Earth"

So now it emerges that the Trump administration has admitted that its final plan, with all else having failed, is to **** up foreign policy as much as possible before that fat **** leaves, with the intention of leaving Biden a ****show so hard to clean up that he'll fail in all his attempts and be voted out after one term. Never mind the very real danger this puts the American people (including the braindead arseholes who still support him and chant, like gob****es "Four more years!" even now) in serious, real danger, but does he care? **** he does. Where's a suicide bomber when you need one, is what I want to know...

How? Didn't Trump choose not to attack Iran? What did I miss?

Trollheart 11-22-2020 02:50 PM

My live recording ran out and then I started writing album reviews so I haven't got back to it, but that seems to be the plan. Not outright attack perhaps, but messing up trade deals, agreements, refusing to take part in G20 meetings, that kind of thing. I honestly don't know. It doesn't look good though.

Also, from what I heard, it wasn't that he chose not to attack, he was basically told by the Joint Chiefs, no way, you can't do that. I believe he would have done it just to spite the American people. Gottedammerung, huh?

OccultHawk 11-22-2020 03:09 PM

I know what you’re talking about. Firing everyone who doesn’t lick his dick cheese at the pentagon concerns me. Removing troops from everywhere doesn’t.

OK, it's from CNN, so some anti-Trump bias I'm sure, but the titles of today's main stories explain why I'm pretty optimistic about Trump's plans imploding:-

Quote:

>More Republicans are losing patience with Trump's legal absurdities
>Analysis: Trump has left the world stage. Few will miss him
>[Republican] Governor invokes dad's stand against Nixon, calls out GOP
>'Absolutely shameful': Schiff condemns Trump's golf outing
>Analysis: Trump's attempt to steal the election unravels
>Trump's claims are a joke, but judges aren't laughing
Also hoping that public disgust with the GOP will lead to the Dems winning those 2 Senate run-offs in January, but after McConnell and L Graham got re-elected, I'm not optimistic about that happening.

@ Trollheart: Sorry Trollheart, but I also read "The Who" and had to go back and re-read.

Anteater 11-23-2020 09:31 AM

Just read a few articles that were talking about how Trump cut Sidney Powell from his legal team because he thought she sounded "like a conspiracy nut" during that press conference with Giuliani. And that's quite something coming from the Trumpster.

Agreed. It's a little like Hitler dismissing Goebbels because he's too fascist innit?

Trollheart 11-23-2020 06:13 PM

Piggy finally squeals...

First on CNN: GSA tells Biden that transition can formally begin
The General Services Administration has informed President-elect Joe Biden that the Trump administration is ready to begin the formal transition process, according to a letter from Administrator Emily Murphy sent Monday afternoon and obtained by CNN.

The letter is the first step the administration has taken to acknowledge President Donald Trump's defeat, more than two weeks after Biden was declared the winner in the election.

The Batlord 11-23-2020 09:00 PM

I mean the hardcore Trunpers are still gonna be hardcore right wingers and most of them are probably hardcore cause they see no way forward with this government the same as you so it's silly to see their despair as a positive cause with the way things are going they're just gonna become even more pilled and you're gonna have to worry about them being a part of or supportive of the far right as it continues to evolve as an ever more dangerous group.

Yeah, I'll concede that "some" should only be used for a quantity up to and including 95%; by 99% I really should be changing to "quite a lot of".

Sorry, Neapolitan, this is again from CNN, but stuck out to me in an article about Biden's cabinet picks:

Imagine thinking that either Obama or Biden pick great people with zero conflicts of interest.

A Pennsylvania state court issued an injunction Wednesday blocking any potential further certification of election results in the state, pending a hearing to be held Friday.

The order from Judge Patricia McCullough comes in the case brought by Pennsylvania voters including Rep. Mike Kelly, R-Pa., in which they allege that a state law allowing for no-excuse absentee voting violated the Pennsylvania constitution, which outlines specific cases where absentee voting is allowed.

I don't think any observer of US politics is naive enough to imagine "zero conflicts of interest."

i) Biden, unlike Trump, has not been bragging about getting great people; he's just doing his job of appointing experts.
ii) Trump's much-lauded "best people" turned out to be Turkish agent/ perjurer Flynn, racist sociopath Miller, corrupt (and corrupting) sycophant Barr, unqualified beneficiaries of nepotism, Mr &Mrs Kutchener, etc etc.

To use a phrase passed around in the early days of the Trump admin, John Kelly was praised as "being the adult in the room". At least with Biden, not only will we have an adult in the room, there'll be an adult in every room.
