Yes but you have to explain why it goes in one direction only

Otherwise, calling them crazy instead of just questioning your preconceptions about a country you've never even lived in shows a basic lack of self awareness.

They’re just being little bitches because they want to own property.

That pos from the video complains about Franco and Castro and then tears up because he loves the most autocratic president since Jackson.

Yeah it's probably so much harder for us to go to Cuba then them to come here... It has nothing to do with them being dirt poor and ruled by banana republic thugs

every poor person who comes here from the third world wants to own property

I made the point about floating down there on a flotilla not because I'm saying love it or leave it but to clue you in on the stakes of making such a journey. People aren't doing that **** frivolously. They're obviously fleeing from desperate circumstances.

American refugees usually take planes to Cuba iirc so it's probably more relevant than you'd think.

jwb 10-26-2020 04:36 PM

And how common is that do you think?

I'm sure it happens...I know people who have gone there... But it's rather odd to ignore the material conditions here where in the case of every other impoverished country we never doubt what the motivation is for them coming here.

jwb 10-26-2020 04:43 PM

Like to the extent maybe currents are relevant... It's only cause they are being trapped there by a regime that won't let them leave and so their only escape route is via jumping on a raft out to sea and praying that you make it across.... That's kinda the point.
