Blood will be on my hands.

Yeah but you also voted against the other capitalist who locked children up in cages like animals

You'd tell that kid in the future, shut the f up and explain how binary choices work to them :P I find it interesting that you think we have some option to stop climate change that voting for Biden makes more difficult? I don't get this.

Yep, exactly as MM says, plus, as you indicated yourself, you voted against thousands of unnecessary deaths as the Trump admin advances with its head-in-the-sand policy of herd immunity. Already, Trump's bungling has caused an unnecessary death toll equivalent to about fifty 9/11s. Unnecessary = a better admin would have avoided them. That's a lot of people who died just because of Trump's misguided leadership. So to the young kids accusing you in 20 years, you might ask, "Your parents survive covid? That's thanks to my vote."

The foreign policy thing is a problem,I admit, but aside from that, NOT voting isn't going to stop the environmental holocaust or bring down capitalism either.
(EDIT: which is pretty much donkeydoo's question )

Returned from my polling station a short while ago - extremely fast process this time. Voted for Biden.

Let's hope the scare stories about hours of waiting, health risks and intimidation all turn out to be wrong.

In a nutshell, fascism is a secondary concern behind capitalism. Fascism is a temporary nightmare. Capitalism is an existential permanent nightmare of total annihilation.

I think, I know in fact, there’s still a huge lack of awareness of how completely incompatible capitalism is with a livable future. My vote for Biden was still a vote for a status quo that isn’t just the status quo that has every evil this country has ingrained into its core and was built on, now it’s also a direct path to environmental death.

What’s done is done. I made a choice. A lesser evil perhaps but evil still. It’s not a courageous choice but like Lucem said, it’s cowardice.

Voting for Trump is a worse status quo vote.
And what makes you say fascism is just a temporary nightmare?

History. It runs a course quickly. I’m sure someone can point out examples that prove me long but I’m distinguishing fascism from just an old fashioned dictatorship. If North Korea started really lashing out they’d die. That’s why they’re always talking **** instead of doing it.

Marie Monday 11-03-2020 11:46 AM

I think that only applies to the last 100 years, if it's true at all. I don't think the fact that some obviously fascist regimes were thrown over quickly in recent times means it's not a very serious permanent threat.
How do you define fascism? I think most old fashioned dictatorships were fascist
