I like both bands a lot. I just understand where they belong big picture wise and some people are sensitive about their ignorance.

That's just dishonest projection. I'm very comfortable with my relative musical ignorance here and you know it. But based on what you've posted about riot grrrl you are missing the point of it partly, so you don't fully understand.
