I understand that he doesn't like Biden, hell, a lot of Americans don't - but if you can't give credit to a president/administration of a party that you don't vote for when they get something right, then you belong at the kids table. Even party-line conservatives should be in favor of the CHIPS act.
Yep, this sounds like a no-brainer, good for the US bill - or so I thought, until I heard a critic say that in the bill there is no checking mechanism about the chip companies (i) increasing production or (ii) increasing jobs in the US. Suddenly, what should be a win is starting to sound like an ill-considered give-away of tax-payers' money, the way those covid-relief billions were.

Yes, and I believe the term is "non compos mentis."

Neapolitan!! You have been away for ages!! Good to see you back

I hope you are ok, and I'm happy to say that I can agree with part of your post as well: I also think Biden should be a one term President. Not for any particular failing but just because of his age; let the guy retire with dignity at the end of his term and hand over the reins to someone younger.

Figures. If that's true, that's unfortunate. Sounds like I'll need to do a little more research. Thanks for the clarification, Lisna.

No bill gets passed in the US without someone getting their palms greased.

Well something definitely got greased, it just wasn't palms in Bill's case.
