Hmmm.....perhaps....

It's strange that the Democrats seem to be okay with Biden running again - I mean, a doddering old dude who has trouble putting complete sentences together that no one really likes...getting the blessing to run again? And now they're going after Trump which seems to be only making him more popular in the polls, almost ensuring beyond a reasonable doubt that he's going to be the Republican nominee?! But that doesn't make much sense, I mean, since Trump did beat the Democrats once, why would they want to make him the nominee again and take that risk? Especially when they're putting up such weak competition? Unless...unless they know it doesn't matter...unless...unless they already know how things will go...unless...unless they know that there's only one Republican candidate who can claim that the election was rigged who nobody in the public or media will believe...unless...

1. Biden is the incumbent. The incumbent being the guy who runs and is hard to beat is both fact and political mythology at this point. If Biden didn't run again can you imagine the rumor mill about the Dems being weak and having no competent leadership? People don't care he's a doddering old fool they care about things feeling normal again.

Who would they even run? Kamala? Buttigieg? Some newb who had to fight for attention with the Trump trial?

2. The only people getting behind Trump now are the people who were getting behind Desantis who were never gonna vote Dem anyway.

Hopefully not with another 13 year old.

Lucem, you're right, it's silly to talk about what I would or wouldn't do IRL. Glad you brought it up. Maybe you should write an instrumental about it. I recommend a piano paired with a clarinet. With ambient sounds of you hanging from your shower curtain you ****ing failure.

Yep, another porn star, another lawyer, another politician: there's no shortage of people thinking, "Kissing Trump's butt is a good career move for me."

I hope it's the courts, Feds and state attorneys who are going after Trump because of the laws he's broken. That's not a political tactic by the Dems. It's the way law and order is supposed to work.

No offense, but I think it's all political theatre. Trump will get at most a slap on the wrist, some measley fines, and maybe a few sternly worded letters. And he'll raise millions in campaign donations as a result.

Edit: If either party cared about crimes presidents committed, they would've introduced George W. Bush to the electric chair by now. After a fair trial before his cronies and peers of course.

Of course it's political theater and and anyone trying to sell you on anything loftier is sucking the cock of the West Wing TV show but this isn't his most inconsequential potential indictment and if Georgia for instance decides to go after him for absolutely attacking democracy then that's good ****.

The idea that the US Congress has refrained from putting him in front of a firing squad by this point certainly shows that our government is scared to do anything real but I guess you do whatever

Y'know, when I was young lad, the first 'snuff film' I ever saw on the internet was the hanging of Saddam Hussein. When I later learned from my dad that he had nothing to do with "Weapons of Mass Destruction", I naively expected the same thing would happen to the the leader of our country...
