Ok. I realize that I'm 5 years late on this, and others have probably addressed this post; but, what? You haven't heard solo Barrett? The album, "Barrett" is worth the price of admission alone for the song, 'Dominoes'. The album, "Opel", which is comprised of acoustic studio outtakes, is definitely my favorite.

I figured so, but I had to put my two cents in. It's not a s good as Floyd, but he did have some god tunes.

Solo Barrett is cool....

ultra-hipsterish thing to say, but i prefer his solo albums to "Piper"

Although The Madcap Laughs is fantastic I still prefer Piper and the sometimes cacophonous Saucerful of Secrets. Madcap has some element of magic to it though, Syd was captivating enough to draw me in.

I never really got into Syd's solo work. It's probably oversaid, but Shine On You Crazy Diamond (all parts) is my favorite work from Floyd.

It's amazing how Floyd is probably the only band that calm your mind with works like "Comfortably Numb" and screw it up big time with songs like "Time" and "Money". How many bands can do that?

In what way do "Time" and "Money" screw up your mind?

Exactly. Apart from the odd time signature used in Money, their early work is more apt regarding this unless it's something they have not heard.

I've recently been diving into the world of Pink Floyd album by album, and I have to say that this thread and these reviews have been very helpful in keeping me interested in hearing all their works. Helps me appreciate each album's uniqueness a bit more. Great stuff!
