Thanks man, glad you dug it

There's so much more I'd put into this list if I was still working on it. With that in mind, there could be life left in this thread yet. If I have the time to spare of course, which isn't looking likely for a while at least.

Continue the thread man. I was just looking through it the other day and realizing how awesome these albums are.

Do you think you can get me a link to "In the Heart OF The Moon"?

Sure can Keep an eye on your PMs.

If I do keep this going, it probably won't be for another week or so at least. Got quite a lot on my plate from uni and that.

The Drift and Tilt are insanely fantastic albums; not sure which I like more. They support the idea of beauty found in ugliness moreso even than Joy Division's "Closer," believe it or not. Great stuff.

I found In the Heart of the Moon on my cousin's hard drive a while ago and I was surprised to see it here. I thought it was good, if only for the interesting combination of lead instruments on the album, and not up to par with the best things Ali Farka Toure has done before it. Nevertheless, I approve.

Good stuff, Bulldog. I remember reading this a while ago, but now I'm familiar with more of the albums.

Also, it is absolutely eerie how many albums on your list would appear on my own if I made one. Funny thing is, I didn't get them from you! It's crazy... Nebraska, Mule Variations, Laughing Stock, Red, Sticky Fingers, Closer, Remain in Light... Crazy.

That was the first thread I read when joining MusicBanter. I remember I only had 3 albums of the whole 100, and I had never heard of the others.

It was a really helpful one, I'd root for the 200.

Uncanny isn't it From what I've seen we do have very similar tastes, especially considering what you think of Tilt and the Drift - two very difficult albums but once (and if) they click, there's just no turning back. Another album you should try if you haven't already is Climate Of Hunter [sic], Walker's first solo effort. I'm pretty sure it's next to impossible to find online, so if you're up for a link drop me a PM eh.

It's a possibility, if I can even be bothered to carry this on at all. It's very tempting to do so as I really enjoyed making this thread, and I do miss being in the process of making it. I guess we'll see what happens. As I say, I've got all sorts of rubbish from uni to keep me busy, not to mention a couple of other threads I'm working on here, so if I do get the ball rolling again it won't be for quite a while.

Oh yeah, forgot about that old idea

Despite this semester being a week away from ending, unfortunately I'll have a load of assignments to keep me busy 'til about mid-January. I'll relaunch this thing sooner than that though. A top 1000 would get very very boring very very fast for all concerned, so I don't think I'd bother with that many. As I say, we'll see how it all turns out.
