You've just nominated yourself as Batlord's new avatar.

Freebase Dali 01-13-2013 02:27 AM

I'd love to do everyone, but I don't have enough stamina. Here are some recent thoughts.

Burning Down - You are quite possibly the most generic person I've ever come across on the internet. That's neither a good thing nor a bad thing obviously, due to the nature of being middle of the road. There really isn't anything about you that I can say defines you, except having a Simpsons avatar and being a school band girl.
I don't mean all this in a negative way. I'm just trying to say that if you left this place tomorrow, I can't actually think of anything you would leave behind, personality-wise, aside from being nice.
Urban would leave behind a legacy of being this horrid but loved narcissistic rebel that everyone both feared and revered. Janszoon would leave behind a legacy of cute laughing emoticons, mediating ability, hilariously effective debating skills, and insanely sexy good looks. Vanilla, she would leave behind the legacy of being Vanilla.
I could say the same thing about myself, actually. I'd simply be the guy that knew about computers and made ok music, and was sometimes a total d*ck. It's just, in comparison to my own failure as an internet personality, even I worry about yours.

Since I reminded myself...

Vanilla - Your post about aliens made you fall a lot of notches in the intelligence department in my book. No offense. Just sayin'. Of course, you're also religious, so I can't really be surprised or anything. Still love ya, because you would f*ck, given the opportunity. Aside from that and being a pretty swell supporter of the Electronica section, yea, that's your legacy. You like sex, believe the U.S. government is hiding aliens, and are religious. Check.

Zevokes - I'm glad you're back. You have skills in the music production department and it's good to see someone else around to help out. I think we should do Captain Planet ring touches and join forces to educate that whole sub-forum.

I think that's all for now.
Of course, this post will force someone to retaliate. I'm good with that. I already know how hard I fail on many levels. But this is the place to get it out of your system, so fire away.

Scarlett O'Hara 01-14-2013 12:24 AM

I'm pretty sure nearly two degrees, post grad and a scholarship to Antarctica doesn't make me unintelligent. I also only just replied the alien thread, I'm not sure if your mind will change but one contraversial opinion doesn't mean I lack depth or the ability to form a careful opinion after exploring options from all different positions. But thanks for your comment otherwise. I am certainly am full of personality and you'd probably find me even more ridiculous! But I have to disagree about burning down, she is certainly nice like kayleigh for example but not over the top nice like vege. She's also quite innocent and funny. I think that's memorable.

I hate when people make that generalization about me. I'm so much more than that now. I was a school band girl back in the 7th grade. I'm trying to carve my own little niche into the world of music education and promoting the importance of such education to parents and students alike, and so many people think that all I am is a band geek. I'm an avid fan of Western Art music that spans from today all the way back to the Ancient Greeks, and of all the history behind it. I'm 3 credits away from obtaining a Bachelor's degree in Music and I worked my butt off to earn it for the last 5 years so I think that pushes me way beyond the realm of "school band girl".

I'm not on MB (or the Internet, for that matter) to make a name for myself or to become a legend. I'm here because I wanted to find like-minded people to communicate with about music and musicianship, and to form some online relationships. I really don't care if people remember me or not if I left this site. Me leaving a legacy on an Internet forum is not the be-all and end-all of my existence.

I disagree with what you said about Vanilla. I think she is a very intelligent woman, and with that intelligence comes the right to hold her own opinions on sex and the US government hiding aliens, and whatever other topics you can name.

Oh, and thanks Vanilla for your comments :)

I wonder how Vegangelica feels being about being infamous for being nice.

Ouchie. I've always appreciated your bold stance with regard to this thread. I guess I just don't have the ability to take shots at people I don't have an understanding with. I think many of the people on the site would notice if BD left. I think Vanilla is a fine lady also. Zevokes I like, hes kind of got this perplexing way of posting at times, but hes an interesting fellow.

What I posted is just an impression I get. I'm obviously not calling it evidence and going to court with it. I'm probably not even 50 percent correct, but that's the beauty of opinion. It doesn't need to be.

Wow that was a let down. I thought you would at least back down slightly for what you said about me after my effort to reply. I understand you've got an opinion but there's also not a lot of substance behind calling me out for lacking intelligence. One comment I make and suddenly I'm an idiot?

I know this is only the internet and it can be a nasty place, but being a friend on here I thought you would have more in you than that.

I didn't call you an idiot. I thought you were really smart before. Now I think you're just slightly above average. ;)

Exoskeletal: I don't think I've done one of these before about him, but I love this guy. He floated in and out of MB for a long time before becoming more of a regular poster and I'm glad he has. He's super-nice, laid-back, often has very interesting things to say (especially when it comes to movies) and he is fucking hilarious.

I would like to give Fluffy Kittens, Face, Trollheart and Merrycaant some props for being my "footy friends" in recent months. I try my hardest to not come across like a smug bastard but they are doing a good job at making me think about what I say! Other than that, all add a lot to the site in general.

And his movies about his job going through foreclosed houses kicked ass.

Hey thanks Goofle! It's nice to have someone knowledgeable to talk to about football (the REAL football, y'all!) ;) even if we hotly disagree sometimes! More people need to join us! :thumb: :soccer:

 thanks man. You've got good taste and I'm glad to see that you're back.

Bloozcrooz 01-19-2013 02:54 PM

Exoskeletal-Have to agree with Jans that your a pretty cool cat. I dont read much about your opinion on films but I do enjoy the sports debates and banter. Also I really dont know much about what your favorite types of music genres or bands. Overall a pretty layed back guy with witty posts.

Forward To Death- Pretty abrasive at times which is a good quality to have and also seem to have a good grip for whats going on in sports. I agree with most of what your opinions on and taste in music I just dont see a whole lot of posts from you about music. Just some here and there but maybe I'm just not noticing them.

Flemailman- I have no idea what your purpose is at all on here really. All your posts are generally a bunch of quotations and apostrophies with talk in the 3rd person inbetween. I will say it does stand out though if thats what your shooting for.

Plankton-Really have come to respect what your capable of musicly man. Always enjoy listening to what you post even if I dont always comment on every one of them. Keep up the good work man.

Sopsync- Or however you spell your name. I usually only see you complaining about the mods and the forum. Which at first I thought some of your initial points had some logic to them but now I think you just like to annoy them. Really who cares man, its not that bad of a place dude stop whining.

I wanted to just do a spill on newer members I've noticed around the forum. Or well at least new to me but I may just now be noticing some of you. There was a couple more I wasn't sure of though. One of them got banned but I actually thought what he got banned for was pretty funny. Was his name Powerpunisher or pursuingchange I dont know theres so many now. Either way I laughed pretty hard at the comments in the "Am I the only one who doesn't like nirvana" thread. Anyways thats all for now so till next time...later.
