Well done Urban, the best choice you've made in my opinion. Blur in the top ten-take that Oasis! *Hopes Oasis isn't higher*

Oasis were 26.

I used to like Oasis more than Blur but I think it was Oasis singles tended to be better. I think Blur make better albums.

I need to look at previous posts before I post again I think... anyway, I never owned Modern Life is Rubbish, but I'm just happy that Blur made it into the top ten.

Blur are a brilliant band. Albarn was on Jonathan Ross' show about a month ago, and as always Ross was talking over them and not letting them get a word in. Albarn just turned around and told Ross to shut up, and Ross did. Then he spent the entire interview sucking up to Albarn telling him how great he was, obviously trying to get on Albarns good books. I was just so glad that someone finally told Ross to shut his annoying little mouth.

He irritates the sh*t out of me too.

The last Blur album was basically a Damon Albarn solo album & it was f*cking horrible.

I love that stateside people only know "song 2."

For the american companies, you might have just sold them 30 more copies if people go out and buy it from these boards.

Blur is so unknown here is funny to me that their in your top 10. It would be like an American putting DMB's Crash in his top 10.

I only own the greatest hits album... I keep going to buy more, but I think the greatest hits will be more than enough for me. I got it for a fiver down Sainsbury's.

Yeah but British pop has never really been successful in the US after the 1960s.

Bolan struggled to make an impact there , The Jam struggled there , It took Morrissey living in LA for 10 years before anybody cared about the Smiths. And mention Stone Roses , Happy Mondays , Blur , Pulp , Suede and you`ll probably get blank looks.
