I'm listening to some Counterstrike right now, they're good as ****, I like Draco and Maniac. When it comes to Drum & Bass/Jungle, I favor the darker/edgier side of the genre.

It's albums I am after really. Yeah I know that track well. My son (bless him) put the debut from Netsky into shared documents for me to check out but it was a little commercial for me. |
:bonkhead:
Forget all those DJs. Child's play. Go to YouTube: KJ Sawka in his basement. |
sub focus and pendulum are great
|
Not heard too much from this band and it's mellow DnB but I really like this track:

Oldie but goodie. It's basically a rock song in disguise with Mike Patton but I'm in a DnB mood tonight.

If I wanted to listen to pansy drum and bass I'd listen to the latest pop music. |

I really like the smooth side of DnB as well as the more tech heavy sound and this is a perfect example. Really liking this track and will have to track down more of his stuff.

Drum n bass
Does anyone listen this genre of music? Whats ur fav radio station ?
|
|
High contrast rocks :D
|
I have not really listened to DnB since highschool (3+ years)
I used to love Noisia and Pendulum, CIUT FM (Toronto station) would have nights where they played some really good DnB. It's good music but has not really taken up a spot in my daily music rotation. |
I have a quality mix from Canada's Decibel Point and it is the sort of dirty DnB I am into at the mo' :
|
Favorite drum and bass? Probably the same that Freebase posted on the first page.
He's the one that got me into it after all. |
i liked the sub-genre when it was still known as "jungle" (which is slightly different as it's more reggae-inclined) and this song is my fave:-
ah, the good ole days |
"Datsick"
|
I don't know much about drum and bass although I'm planning to change that. But I do know I love liquid funk.
|
Noisia Noisia Noisia

Brookes Brothers are doing it for me ATM. Commercial? Yes but still not big enough yet for them to bollox it all up on their second album like so many before!
This is a great change of pace from the S.T album: |
|
Fabriclive 55 from 2011 is a set by DJ Marky and is a great mix and doesn't sound repetitive either.
Sub Focus does some really good DJ mixes but it can get intense at times and some people don't like that in D n B. |
Feint and Two Thirds are two of the best out there! I also love Pendulum and Metrik.
|
Always go back to goldie, 90's rave scene
|
I don't listen to all that much, but Feint is pretty cool. Aelian also has some good dnb.

London Elektricity is a staple of the superlative Hospital records staple that is still going strong and with the album Power Ballads the emphasis was on live reproduction of Drum and Bass as opposed to synthesised sounds and you can't get much better than this track with that awesome double bass and live drums.
Here is a live version of the track to prove my point but it does take nearly 2 mins to kick in but that rhythm section is awesome. Have to catch these live some time. |
Damn, jackhammer you always deliver with some great ****. I'm going to check out Power Ballards then dive into their discog to see what else they offer.
|
I tend to recommend London Elektricity's Syncopated City first, but f'real, all of their music is unreal. Here's a few gems from that release - probably my favorite DnB album of all time.
