Arms & Sleepers is great, but i'm not sure i'd call them trip hop.
they remind me a bit of Múm... been on a roll today finding new stuff. all the following have female vocalists, and range across the spectrum of trip hop. if you dig Portishead, be sure to check out the last two on the list. Endless Blue Silk Demise Lêndi Vexer Stervhïa

I never explored trip-hop because the name of the genre just seemed like it would just be one of those "over the top" genre, but now that I've actually looked into it I can see that the name is very misleading. Thanks for this thread, I'm really enjoying all the beats posted. (:

No. It's a Pop song given a high gloss finish by Trever Horn's production. It's decent enough but certainly not Trip Hop.
