I'm not a big fan of Prodigy - I don't really listen to that much electronica at all, but these opinions seem rather uneducated to me. You write off their music as unimaginative with too much looping and repetitive beats. Hum ..

You could listen to Fire (sunrise version), Poison, 3 kilos, Diesel Power, Climatize .. just to mention some songs off the three first albums. They all sound rather different to me. As for beats, don't forget that The Prodigy, at least the music from the first three albums (don't know the last one very well) is largely supposed to be danceable.

I liked their Girls single from Always Outnumbered, Never Outgunned. It also has a sound quite different from the examples I posted.

Perhaps it is their very danceability that turns me away from them.... I am, *ahem* not a great dancer, so i guess I don't seek out music of a highly danceable nature... I probably should listen with mor eopen ears, yet this is somewhat tricky given my preferences lay somewhere well away from this genre...

Basically, I'm probably biased...

I dug their high energy electro hard-core! But Fat of the Land was the only one I owned. 'Smack my Bitch Up' caused such a controversy! Then that video really helped put it into perspective.

Oh yeah, they thrived on controversy for a while there.... but, unfortuantely, they really weren't able to maintain that dramatic side of their career, and when musical styles had shifted, it all looked kinda ho hum...

I love Fat of the Land & Music For the Jilted Generation, but past that it's all rubbish IMO.

Prodigy is amazing. I never get why people simply seem to have not liked anything since fat of the lamb. I mean Fat of the lamb was AWESOME, but Always Outnumbered Never Outgunned, was equally as Awesome. Anyway, In march "Invaders Must Die" is coming out. Im expecting to get head damage from bobbing my head in march.

Rock On!

I do confess to actually finding a certain fascination with the "Smack My Bitch Up" video and its ironic twist...
