Fantastic discography and a great influence on me. I have 3 cds - Blue Lines, Protection and Mezzanine.
I think the peak of production, atmosphere and overall feeling of a single track belongs to "Group Four" from the album Mezzanine.

You should really check out 100th Window. Underrated album with excellent production. In fact, the production carries the album - the songwriting isn't quite as great as Mezzanine but there's moments of brilliance like this song.

If it wasn't for that awful 'Light My Fire' cover, Protection would be my favorite Massive Attack album.

I’ve always wondered how the hell that nasty version of ‘Light My Fire’ ever got released.

I always assumed too much dope was smoked on the day they decided on the track sequencing.

Too much dope smoked? Sounds more like a bottle of vodka and an overdose of Modecate.

Mezzanine is my favourite but I've always found 100th Window to be very underrated.

Weird to be discussing this on the Classical forum. Probably doesn’t matter as I’m not aware any purists haunt this place.
Massive Attack on the track ‘Risingson’ from ‘Mezzanine’ seem to be using another of their songs only with different lyrics. Oh , well, plagiarising yourself is an ancient tradition indulged in by classical composers for centuries & centuries.

The visuals reveal the usual cheap & nasty LP gear used for sampling.

Huh? This is the electronica section.

And what song are you talking about in regards to the plagiarism? Risingson uses what lyrics from what song?

The best song on that album though, Paradise Circus, was improved with Gui Boratto's remix:

I disagree. While Mezzanine is great, so are Blue Lines and Protection. Those albums just bring different vibes. I totally get a preference for Mezzanine, but Massive Attack has rarely missed.

love massive attack.... all of their work
