Vanilla's Dubstep Recommendations

I've received a few PMs about hooking people up with some Dubstep that I think is banging so I will use this thread to do so.

Liquid Stranger

Traveling the uncharted terrains of sound, Liquid Stranger’s creative output spans a wide range of electronic music in all of its colours and shades. Always pushing the sonic boundaries and merging genres, he consistently creates an ever-evolving blend of unique atmospheres and cutting edge grooves.

With 4 highly acclaimed full-length albums under his Liquid Stranger moniker, this multi-talented producer has established himself as the epitome of trans-national dubstep, covering everything from Latin, Asian, Eastern European and Jamaican Dancehall dubs. His first two albums, ‘The Invisible Conquest’ and ‘The Intergalactic Slapstick’ (Interchill 2007 & 2009), generated a substantial buzz with DJs and listeners alike while his next two albums, ‘The Private Riot’ and ‘Mechanoid Meltdown’

If you are really new to dubstep definitely start with him. He covers the basics of dubstep, melting tracks down and building them up.

Zed Bias

If you want atmospheric, deep and dirty dubstep you have to check this guy out. He creeps into your rooms at night and wobble rapes you. He's actually more UK Garage than dubstep but these are some of the dubstep tracks he's done that are nasty as fuck.

If anyone wants to add to my contributions, PM and you will receive full credits. Keep checking for more updates.

The Gaslamp Killer

The Gaslamp Killer is a Los Angeles-based DJ whose eclectic style ranges from psychedelia and world music to dubstep and left-field hip-hop. Associated with Flying Lotus' Brainfeeder Records, he made his production debut in the late 2000s with a series of EPs. Born William Benjamin Bensussen, he originally comes from San Diego, CA, whose downtown Gaslamp District's bar scene inspired him to name himself the Gaslamp Killer in disgust for much of the patronage. As a producer, the Gaslamp Killer made his debut in the late 2000s, releasing, for instance, a split single with Free the Robots, "The Killer Robots".

Personally I really enjoy his psychedelia, if you are into it you'll love him! He doesn't dabble into dubstep as much as he could but he's well worth a listen by all means.

Coki

Dubstep Producer, DJ and MC from the UK. He's also part of Digital Mystikz and together with Mala (4) and Loefah he's running the DMZ label.

He is insanely cool, pimps out heavy set tracks with eerie wobbles and sometimes throws in hip hop elements.

Great stuff! :D I'm a picky mofo when it comes to Dubstep. The last couple songs I got are all from different artists haha. I don't wanna overload the topic or anything, so I'll just post the last one I got.

Many Dubstep tracks are not available on albums and are general collaborations or remixes:

Zed's Dead is dope, Benga and Skream have a lot of work, and Excision is ok. Bassnectar has always been hit or miss for me

Got a new one, it's sick as!

Glebstar

Here enters Glebstar; an Amsterdam based producer/DJ who's production will stay lingering around in your head like that book you've just read, or the love of your life you've just met. Glebstar's sound is characterized by bumpy, grimey baselines, drums and the "Dirty" sound that he has developed in the past few years. His work stays versatile and ventures into the wild, unexplored parts of electronic music. Yet they stay marked by their sincere hospitality to invite any adventurer who dares to trod into new fields.
His eagerness to succeed goes hand in hand with his wish to give back. He describes his mission as an DJ/Producer as; "Providing the people with the right musical ingredients, and thereby helping them to build the perfect night." He then adds; "The real payback is playing your own track in a club, and then look at how the people loose them self."

Some darker, heavier vibes rather than the obnoxious brostep. I implore you to listen to take about 20 minutes from your day and give these a listen. If you don't want to listen to them all then just listen to Hatcha, Benton and Jakes.

Hatcha -
Featuring Benga, this is sick.

Benton -
HQ radio rip from Rinse, huge tune.

Psy:am -

Jakes -
Dark ting, all I can say is raaa, heavy track.

Mala -
You picked out Coki but neglected his Digital Mystickz partner Mala, feel the bass.
