I don't really listen to as much electronic music as I would like, but Boards of Canada is by FAR my favorite. Music Has the Right to Children is just incredible, as is In a Beautiful Place Out in the Country EP.

I think boards of canada are dead. I've been a waiting 4 years with a promise of a new album. I'm almost certain they're dead or disbanded, which would be hard because they're brothers.

but... 4 years is still a full year faster than their average. if they released now it would be SUPER rushed :tramp:

Or maybe they're in zombie form, could make for an interesting album.

I have a feeling it won't be much longer and it had better be good considering the amount of time they've been spending on it, not that I'm impatient or anything.

I like them and enjoy their music. I think the majority of their albums are masterpieces, and that they create unique soundscapes.

BoC - Way Beyond Norm

I really believe Boards of Canada kicks out songs like no other electronic type group I've ever heard . . and they do it consistently. That's one issue with a lot of electronic bands, they'll make one or two good songs or a great album and then everything else is long and repetitive.

I first liked music has the right to children more then "geogaddi", but the more i listen to geogaddi the more i switch my view. The track "1969" i think is awesome.

Is "the campfire headphase" worth a buy?

It sure is, it's a fantastic album. It's probably not my favourite BoC album but it's nearly every bit as good as Geogaddi and Music Has The Right To Children.

This track should help you make your mind up:

Boards of Canada are one of my favourite artists (others including Chris Clark, Trentemoller and Burial).

I love Music is Math and Sunshine Recorder (both are from Geogaddi). Have a listen to both on youtube.

If anyone is interested a Kaleidoscope (one of only 500) that Boards of Canada released to promote their album Geogaddi is for sale on ebay at the moment. The auction end date is 1st August 2012. Have a look if you want.

I want another BoC album soon. I've been waiting for new one for a few years now...!

I only have one thing more to type

"1969, in the sunshine" :D
